Paul Greenberg, sometimes referred to as the God father or CRM and the father of social CRM, is President of The 56 Group as well as blogger at and and the author of the best-selling CRM at the Speed of Light: Social CRM 2.0 Strategies, Tools, and Techniques for Engaging Your Customers. Paul is the foremost authority on the topic of Social CRM.

Paul is quite literally the guy who wrote the book on customer relationship management. However, beyond this well earned claim to fame, Paul is a genuinely warm person who pioneers new concepts and then distills his learning with others. He's fiercely independent and actually doesn't care for business much, however, found his niche and is blessed to have made a profession where he finds interest and pleasure. He reminds me of the saying that "if you find work you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

He's an expert at customer relationship management because in large part he believes in relationships. I suspect he's become the authority on Social CRM because he found a (business) outlet that dovetails with his (personal) affair for enjoying and nurturing relationships. Paul has combined an area of passion with a blend of journalism skills, technology depth and business strategy in order to be one of the greatest business teachers of customer centric strategies of all time.

Paul is a prolific writer and his opinionated content regarding customer strategies, state of the market and social CRM is probably the most cited in both online and offline channels. He is frequently quoted in national magazines and newspapers, including the New York Times, as a subject matter expert and thought leader. Paul is the co-chairman of the CRM Research Center at Rutgers University, an Executive VP for the CRM Association, member of the Board of Advisors of Baylor University’s MBA CRM program, and a member of the Destination CRM Board of Experts, SearchCRM Expert Advisory Panel and the CRM Guru Expert Guru Panel among other professional organizations.
